KEE 8 -- April 16

With the late deflection of #6 Gold Storm, there is no true speed in the Grade 2 Commonwealth Breeder's Cup at seven furlongs. The complexion of the race has changed completely. Despite published reports that have said inside speed in sprints (especially 6 1/2 and 7 panels) is not what it used to be, I always look inside for my winners. I generally prefer the up close presser type who can make a move on the rail. #2 Gators and Bears fits this definition and figures to run well as fifth choice in the wagering (KEE 8).
