And since the filly is in...let's hope the folks covering the Derby DO NOT bring up Eight Belles...I can hear them now..."another filly will try to win the Derby, like Eight Belles did, and in trying, lost her life'...some BS crap like that...if I hear one commentator mention DMC in the same breath as Eight Belles...I will throw something at my TV ...but bet they will...mark that one down too.

Thank you for bringing this up. She's run 18 races since her first on 4/09/09.
It's been 12 months, and 13 Stakes races later.........
And, no layoff.
She did get a tiny break of about 15 days back before christmas last year.
