Just wondering if there are any tennis fans on the board?

I've been a tennis fan since high school...and my all-time favorite player is Ivan Lendl. His serve, his groundstrokes...he had it all. They had to invent the net-game in order to beat him.

Huge tennis fan here, watch all the time and play 8 days a week minimum. My two favorite players are in the US Open Final, gotta stick with Novak. I named one of my dogs after him.

Lendl has turned into a pretty good coach as well. Taking Murray's game into winning Wimbledon twice. Very mercurial player and coach. My favorite player goes WAY back to Ken Rosewall, just played a soft defensive game to frustrate his opponents. Not sure that would work with the big hitters of the last 20 years. At one point in a major, Rosewall was down two sets and match point to Stan Smith in Wimbledon semi's and came back to win. Guy was relentless, and still ranked #2 at 40.

What a meltdown from Serena today. She was totally out of line IMO.

Agree CJ. It's obvious he was sending signals. It's on her to look or not. But this has been going on forever. I respect Serena a ton in my mind she's the best woman player ever and it's not close. Her press conference afterwards I didn't like her equating it to women's rights and the men's game. Chrissy was spot on in her analysis saying men come up the umpire say their swear word and it's over they get a warning. Serena couldn't let it go. She kept calling him a thief. Granted I'm not sure I've ever seen a violation for getting signals especially a player of her stature but she didn't handle it well.

During the second set, Naomi acted like the mature 37 year old and Serena the 20 year old.

It’s hard to recall a more unsportsmanlike event.
Didn't watch, but am glad I didn't after reading this brief commentary:https://pjmedia.com/instapundit/307037/#respond

She pulled out the sex and parental card while arguing with the chair umpire.

I seldom feel sorry for athletes except in injury situations...but I felt sorry for Naomi Osaka.
