An interesting note. The owner, Ramdat Rohan, is also a trainer.

I'd say he has a trainer's license, not sure he is actually a trainer

Are there any good guys in this story? Does/should Maryland get any credit for tossing Potts?
I (long-time fan) have been studying and penny-ante wagering on exponentially more horse racing due to COVID-19 and the dearth of other sports viewing. Been watching it closely.
Which, if any, are the relatively "clean" circuits in the sport now?
It just seems surreal, when you look at it from the outside, that bettors should have to consider who might be the actual trainer, which horse(s) might be on the juice, etc.

Right now, the good guy might be Mr. Paulick. Big thumbs down to Florida and New Jersey. But, when has racing ever been serious about the cheating?

I would say Maryland and Sal Sinatra are 100% good guys for catching him and tossing him. I can't imagine there is anything easy about catching these beards.

Completely agreed re Paulick and, alas, about the well-founded cynicism re cheating.
Does this sport care about unlevel playing field concerns? At multiple levels. My recent experience suggests the answer is an emphatic "NO". I'm completely open to the opposing view.

Thanks - I'm a Marylander and thought it was the right move. This sport makes us all cynical as hell, particularly with the overhang of the Servis/Navarro indictments.
This penny-ante bettor has learned the terms "frog juice", "SGF-1000", cobalt, etc., etc., etc.
That's messed up.

Actually hit a decent trifecta in this race today , me being very naive not knowing who Potts was. Actually thought the would get the lead but Potts horse led it gate to wire.
This prompted me to read all available stories and examples of the "paper trainers" and I have to say it just discourages me more. Was fortunate today but how many times did a shadow trainer, or for that matter Navarro or Servis cost me and all of us money.
Apparently horses are racing in Navarros father in laws name and attorneys name. add to that the meteoric rise of Monica Mcgohee (spelling?) and my confidence in the sport is bordering on non existent.
Someone give me some suggestions of circuits you feel are on the up and up. I think Keenelands pretty close but I am aware of some shenanigans that have happened there in the past. Would be interested in knowing where you all feel safe betting.....please no Hong Kong
