Miss Matzoball Owner Says Hi

Hello again..

Miss Matzoball is running this coming Sunday at Monmouth in the Blue Sparkler Stakes.

She has had many months off - after winning a Stakes in Gulfstream last year - to be horse and then gear up for this Spring Summer.

Miss Matzoball is in great spirits and it will be my first visit to Gulfstream - an on Memorial Day Weekend

It is always exciting to be racing a horse - and Miss Matzoball is a very special one that we bred ourselves from Miss Matzo. She is from Smoke Glacken - and loves speed on a short run on the grass.

There are some other fine horses in the race and the wet weather is always distracting. But, hopefully it will clear and the grass will harden up a bit in the days ahead. Our jockey is A. Gallardo and the trainer is Roy Lerman

Miss Matzoball is already living up in Saratoga Springs and she will return there to prep for the late Belmont and Saratoga meets.

It is an honor to race - and to see a horse that you bred go to multiple stakes races - and keep her spirit high. Someday, she will breed the next wave of MASIE Stable horses.

As always, the goal is that all the horses come out healthy and we have a great day - Go Matzoball.

Miss Matzoball Update..

Yesterday, she had a great morning exercise - and she is READY and RIPE.

Today, she had one last morning gallop - and once again - she sort of knows that the race day is coming.

She will get up at about 5 am on Sunday - and take a 3 1/2 trip down from Saratoga to Monmouth - driven in the stable trailer by the Assistant Trainer - Felix.

That lets her sleep in her Saratoga stall - eat the same stuff - and get to Monmouth about 930 am... Have the day to relax and head over to the Paddock about 4 pm.

J came down to Monmouth today - and went to Asbury Park for the first time in decades.

BTW, the race track at Monmouth is quite friendly and supportive of horsemen. Set us up with a big welcome and a great free box.

As always, may the horses and jockeys come out FINE....

Elliott

You ran into a very tough bunch for a comeback race. Paco Lopez rode Blue Bahia perfectly. Very solid claim from Drazin getting this one back in his barn after the horse was claimed from him in March at GP. Dennis also bred the winner.

Forgot about this race and just watched the replay. She was going very well until she got squeezed at the top of the stretch. Hope she came out okay.

I bet against her on the x, way too many sharp horses in that race.

Will come on from that race.

I recognize the sire of one of my favorite horses, not saying which one.

It looked like a 2 horse race the 6 and the 4. The 6 didn't handle the yielding turf very well and as I said before a perfect ride by Paco who has had a lot of bad ones this meet thus far got the 4 home.
