5 Dimes sportsbook

I have tried this Racebook with the aspiration that they give a healthy rebate.

Great.

So within 3 days of betting, I have learnt that they suspend races without any consistency. Any serious horse player knows that they last few seconds before the race.. before the off.. is crucial. Body language, change of money, acting up situations, scratches... etc

They have made it clear they do not give any credence to transparency within how they close their races.

I think this speaks to why people choose to forget a site like 5 Dimes who does shady behavior such as that and go back to para mutual wagering. They can be closing races in situations when the bookies are most favorable. That is flat out wrong imo.

If you wanna study for 10 minute or all night for a pick 6 and see that they closed the market 2 minutes before.. join, if you don't stay away!!!

I was under the impression that 5dimes shut down all US customers last fall and closed out all accounts and sent the proceeds back to all US players. They made some kind of deal with the US government and paid a healthy fine. They said that this action will enable them to open up to the US market legally some time on the future or some such thing. I just tried to get on their site to see what was up and I was unable to get on. Access denied. Are they open to US customers and are you able to bet on the site?

5Dimes stopped accepting U.S. customers months ago...the original poster here must be a foreigner. Either that, or he is full of shit.

I used 5Dimes before it closed to U.S. customers.

In my experience, 5Dimes always closed betting at the listed post time, regardless of post drag.

I had a 5 Dimes account and often played some horses through it, just ones that I really liked. Never anything big but it was nice to get a little better rebate when the situation is right.

About their post times....all I can say is that they watch them closely. Tried to past post them one time when a track moved up their post times, did it more out of curiosity than trying to make a big score, think I only bet $10. They caught it and cancelled my wager.

They were a good off shore account, even had a free Texas hold-em tourney every Sunday night with a $500 pot.

Like most off shore books though they were a pain in the ass to try and get money out of. Not a lot of money either, usually no more than $500 or so. They always eventually paid and did eventually pay my remaining balance when they closed to U.S. based accounts. Had to set up a bitcoin account (Coinbase) to get the balance. The $120 I had left is worth over $600 now.
