CHANGE OF PLAN
The response to these video reviews has been so overwhelming and gratifying Tina and I have decided to change how it's going to work.
We've re-established a Web site I had a few years back.
www.vicstauffer.com
The Video write ups for EVERY horse running in the Breeders' Cup will be available at 8:00pm eastern on Wednesday 11/2.
Please send your $75.00 donations directly to
www.arkansasracetrackchaplaincy.com
If you cannot afford $75.00 PLEASE send at $40.00 for this IMPORTANT, worthy and tax deductible cause.
Everyone will be on the honor system.
Thanks in advance for your generosity.
Hope my takes on the replays are helpful!
Much appreciation!!
VJS

Historically, I cannot remember but doesn’t the dirt mile produce some pretty good prices?
That used to be my interest in it

Based on Beyers and my generated Class Ratings in recent years the sprint category has been weaker than the Mile category. There may be a lot more graded sprint stakes throughout the year, but at the top it hasn't been that strong.
Maybe not this year, but in recent years there has often been easy pickings in the Sprint for more money than the Mile, but they still go in the Mile I assume because of the preference of the horse.
We don't have a huge 10F dirt category these days either. The real issue is there are some 8F-9F horses that don't want to go 10F. So they go in the Mile instead of passing or shortening way up.

If sprinters can't get up in time at 6, and routers can't last 19, aew they really champions? No speed, no stamina.....ithe Grape Nuts Division. Ever have a bowl of Grape Nuts? No grapes, no nuts....WTH???
If we need a participation trophy race, make it a Friday non-BC race.
Call it the Euell Gibbons Stakes.

So you have an issue with high caliber horses that don't do well in sprints and aren't bred for classic distances?
Ok, WHY?
Give your reasons.

I don't care when they run it. Or what season long implications it has. But scrapping it would be tragic.
It always seems to be one of the best betting races on the weekend.

It is not the championship. Your answer is exactly my reasoning. If you are not good enough to be a champion at the sprint or classic distances then it should NOT be held amongst the main card on championship Saturday.

Speaking of replays...
Did anyone catch the performance of Bayside Boy in the QE II at Ascot?
Basically went last to first and blew right past Modern Games, then galloped out like a raging bull.
