The only thing is question is how the police acted...we'll know after further investigation.
We've seen how the community acts.

community.
One possible outcome from attacking a police officer is that you'll get killed. Simple as that really. It is easy for people to sit on the recliner and blame the cop, but he's got tons of adrenalin going through his veins while struggling with someone over his gun. This is a lot less about black and white than it is decision-making by the cop under a stressful situation.
Lastly, when was the last time that group rioted over the black on black crimes in that area? And don't say it isn't relevant. Rioting every time a white guy commits a crime against a black while turning the other cheek on the much larger issue of black on black crime is the very definition of racism. Black racism.

Those who think it unfair need to realize...
It's not supposed to be a fair fight.

Community. Only a handful have the slightest concern or regard for the young man that was shot. The rest use the incident as an oportunity and excuse to act up, loot, destroy, and to act like savages. This type of thing has been going on for decades. Would have been surprised if it had not happened, not that it did.

All the business owners should close up shop, move to a civilized area, and let all the people know why their neighborhood has turned into a ghost town.

Everything is under control. Eric Holder has announced that the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division and the FBI have opened investigations into the matter.
Quote:
Holder has asked the federal attorneys to investigate whether the civil rights of 18-year-old Michael Brown, who was shot by a police officer Saturday afternoon, were violated either in the teenager’s contact with local police or in the shooting, federal law enforcement officials said.

Obviously I wasn't in the slain teen's crew, and the following are general statements.
are there racist cops? sure
was this a racist cop? Probably not.
Most of these extreme-force incidents from police occur because of the way the system is leveraged, not because of some racial vendetta.
The system is leveraged to be as efficient as possible.
It would be a lot more expensive and less efficient to have a high level of accountability, more rules, more training, more rigid admission process etc...
Am I calling for a change in the system? Not necessarily. A start would be acknowledging the reality of the system on some level.
Are blacks subject to a higher risk? Sure. There is fear, there is perceived risk.
If you are a large black male (or even a large white male), you need be aware of the stress and risk involved and go out of your way to demonstrate cooperation.
There seems to be a lack of awareness by the public about the way our police system works.
You see people calling the police because their kid is "out of control", or you see people getting into conflicts with the police.
Most of the time things go smoothly, but when excessive force is used there seems to be a big surprise. (or in this case a blame of 'racism').

Saw clip of chief of police
He says at least one shot was fired inside the police vehicle after the suspect entered the vehicle and attacked officer.
There may be an argument for shooting a fleeing felon, but that's a tough argument.

You can bet Holder's immediate action was on orders from the white house. The cop acted stupidly.....
The police stood by and watched stores being looted?

Rochester, NY just got it's first grocery store in the inner city since the riots in 1967.

Holder should be investigating the looting and arson by a pack of wild animals.
It was not the community, but a small groups - who should be found and arrested and prosecuted. The investigation in to the shooting should take back seat to the real problem here. Mob violence.
