Maybe Illinois can now raise the funds to subsidize its pensions...without raising the residents' property taxes.

With the way things are going will we soon see a political slogan of a 3 team teaser and a bag of chronic in every pot?

I was listening to an interview with one of the big wigs at the PGA regarding this. They expected it to pass and are already working on golf betting options.

How will this affect our sport? My understanding is that its implementation is a state-by-state matter, and I believe there are many factions in Florida that will not implement sports betting.

Do any of the professional leagues get a cut from Vegas now? Because I think they will be looking to get a cut if this can be implemented state by state. Then the players will be wanting a cut. Will the vig go above 10%?

That's about 25% of theoretical profit on single straight bets.
The NBA will have to re-think.

Can the sports franchises withhold their product from the betting outlets...the same way the horsemen do when they don't get things their way?
