I agree, the comparison is not valid.
Hitler was clearly an intelligent and talented socialist leader, a strong believer in big government, capable of manipulation and deceit to attain control of his followers.
Hogg is clearly a true-believer in the party leadership and policy, incapable of independent thought. A loyal follower, ready to toe the party line and preach the party dogma.

He’s screwing his future up big time.
Can you imagine hiring him and he becomes a union rep?

I don't see him in any kind of a union shop. His opinion of himself is too inflated. He is a star this week, and he will need a big dose of reality before he would ever be contented with starting as a worker bee.
Right now he is just a cheerleader, and not a very articulate one at that. His 15 minutes of fame are just about over.

If you were a native ....you probably would get it. By the way, I put that in with political correctness in mind. If I were you I would cover my head with both hands.

I understand Mr. Hogg's motive. Being over a half a world away and no dog in this fight what is your motive.

The jerk is really trying to find some way to be relevant.
His position as world class ass-clown is not etched in stone.

To show that he is a good little soldier, following orders and mindlessly spouting the party line.

The media is portraying Hogg and others as the voices of their generation. The truth is that they do not represent the majority and they are tools being used by the same old tired liberals pushing the same old agenda. The tactics of the gun grabbers have not worked, so they are trying to put some new lipstick on that pig. Or Hogg.
Quote:
CNN ran an article detailing how student activists "led" the Washington, D.C., March for Our Lives rally on Saturday, downplaying the heavy organizational support they received from adult gun control advocates. Recent survey data show that only 10 percent of rally attendees were under 18 and the average age of the adults present was 49. And while most of the press coverage has implied that young people are overwhelmingly in favor of more gun control, comments from actual young people suggest their views are not quite so monolithic.
A 2015 Pew poll found that only 49 percent of 18-to-29-year-olds favored an "assault weapons" ban, compared to 55 percent of those aged 30 to 49 and 63 percent of those 65 or older. A March 6 Quinnipiac poll, taken several weeks after the Parkland shooting, found that only 46 percent of 18-to-34 year olds support an assault weapons ban, rising to 51 percent for those aged 35 to 49, 68 percent for those aged 50-to-64, and 80 percent for those over 65.

An armband is not a substitute for rational discussion of issues.
