Kind of a messy betting pool with the late scratch of the #7, which reduced my bet to $16.
Good news is that #3 wired them, but got hit late and the odds went down to 9-5.

Big name trainers of the 1-2-3 should take the bulk of the money, leaving good value on the #7 Awesome Ruta, who could very well go off at more than his 7-2 ML. Numbers are good, getting better with each longer distance, and he should handle the stretch out for a very good trainer in Foster.

The #4 Hard Four should get a very nice stalking trip behind the expected speed of the #1 and #5. Doubt the 9-2 ML will hold but I'm hoping he can get by those two and win it for a solid FG outfit.

#9 Shady McGee went on my Watch List off his last race here at FG. Steadied a bit early, then made a nice wide move on the far turn into a quickening pace and kept on well to the end. Winner of that race wired the field after getting clear through slow opening splits. Should get an honest pace to run at today. Will be coming from pretty far back so I hope Pedroza can find room to run. Think he can be right there with a good trip.
