get used to it, the delusional media is doing a good job of getting Trump re-elected for another 4 years if he wants to run.

People actually believe Trump is the author of all those tweets himself, on his cellphone?

Hard to imagine that he could find, let alone allow, anyone less articulate than himself to post them.

I get that this is a joke thread but this is probably the one topic that seems hard for anyone to give Trump much crap over. No pun or whatever intended originally. Nobody else has gotten anything positive ever out of these creeps and like it or not they have been legitimized in the process. I approved of him rattling sabres right back at Kim and approve of him engaging in real diplomacy as well. The one thing I didn't approve of was continuing along the same can kicking path.

There is plenty material over a +25 year period suggesting that not only would he make a run, but was disgusted by that kicking the can as you put it. And also plenty of material that would suggest that he would take aim at these globalist and not in a good way. Not characteristic of any politician, especially keeping promises.

As of right now this is all for show.
Nothing is different this time around than in the 90s or 2000s. Except the leaders met face to face whereas before United States leaders didn't want to legitimize the DPRK.
There are reasons for that part to be different now, namelyNorth Korea has a credible nuclear deterrent, but not much else is different yet.

You got to do something different to get something different.

I don't disagree.
I have no problem with the new top-down approach. Sure it legitimizes the regime and that's a negative but the previous approach certainly wasn't accomplishing much either.
Will this?
Probably not... if we're being honest.
But its a new attempt and that can't be faulted whether it ends up accomplishing anything or not.
Time will tell. Right now we haven't gotten much for our efforts but its still really early.

Exactly. Maybe even North Koreans can learn hope is more than a slogan.

People think I'm ragging on Trump but overall this has been handled pretty well.
Its easier to point out the mistakes of the administration because we live here and don't have state-run media or live in a brutal dictatorship.
Trump made a mistake in the presser afterward... I didn't see Kim's presser... oh that's right...
We, however, DID NOT get what we wanted this go-around. Pragmatic people realize, though, its still a start and the process isn't dead yet so that's a definite plus. Trump people will say different because he's infallible... they are wrong.
There is no agreement at this point but we're still talking and that's good.
Sidenote: The JCPOA took literally a decade to be ironed out. That had real tangible mechanisms in it. This statement did not. We're still a long long way away.
