Whatever side of the aisle you are on with the actual DQ itself. The fact is he didnt interfere with Country House. It would of been a much easier thing if he had. But Country House not being effected and because of the DQ going down in history as a Kentucky Derby Champion... Its kinda wonky. He clearly was not the best horse. Bill Mott gets his first derby... but has to live with the fact it was kind of handed to him. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do about it. But lets not pretend the horse or the connections really won this thing... It was given. and keep in mind at the same time they did nothing wrong. Just a wierd situation all around.

If MS got beat at the wire, I don't think we'd be talking about this. CH had every chance to pass the leader but didn't/couldn't do it.

You may not like it but thems the rules. It is totally irrelevant that the horse that ran second was not interfered with and that he never passed the guilty party. You have no knowledge, nor does anybody, of what impact a clear run for the 1 horse would have had on the outcome.

So basically, you are saying that the horse that crossed the finish line first, regardless of what he had to do in the field during the race to do that, is the best horse?

I don't agree. Because that would be advocating *anything goes* during a race like the KY Derby.

If you support that, then you would also support if meds were found in the winner's blood or something is okay, too.....I mean, if we want to extrapolate it out.

The horse himself was not really the best, only the fastest. The best horses don't run the way he did. He is green, doesn't have enough racing under his belt, and endangered the lives of other participants, both human and equine.

If anything, WoW (and other horses impacted in the race) *deserved* to not have their placings in the race impacted. Had they left the original result up, the connections would have to live with the fact that they did not really win either. (at least, by your reasoning).
