Yeah...where's the statutes that govern what a president MUST do in order to declassify information?
Either he can classify or declassify at will (which the Supreme Court I think has pretty much decided he can) or he can't.

Even the classification, which, be honest, we both know is horseshit, doesn't matter.
He was subpoenaed to hand over documents relating to national security and refused.
That's a violation of the Espionage Act.
We also both know there was zero reason to keep this stuff.
Like I said I'm mostly just bummed... this is going to be a mess.

This story makes no sense and unless they charge him we'll never get the truth.
So in January he hands a bunch of stuff back. Then who knows what but in June there are negotiations and Trump refuses? So they knew what was there and he wouldn't give it back? Then why do they need an insider to tell them what's there? And Trump packed all of these boxes up?
Also, Trump better have some real defense attorneys behind the scenes because the people he's sending out to do media stink. Can't even get their stories straight on the warrant but they certainly have that "the president can just think it and it's declassified" schtick down. I wouldn't be shocked to find these are the people who were negotiating at Mar-a-Lago and walked him right into this mess.

Russiagate and Hillary investigation information that was declassified and ordered released was in those boxes. Now that it is included in an 'ongoing investigation', it will remain hidden for awhile .....

the first thing i thought when i first heard this story was that there had to be an inside rat. after watching this story play out the last few days, i suspect that the one that did the ratting was Trump himself. nothing is going to happen to him and he is going to raise $billions on this as the victim to this oppression.

i don't think Trump cares whether he gets good or bad publicity. his deal is to hog all the publicity, and he does a great job at it!
the Democrats and the media got to be pretty stupid chasing this guy all over the place. without them, he has nothing.

You got that ass backwards... they are nothing without Trump. The media needs him...else it's report on what a failure the Briben Administration is. And the Democrats without him as a boogieman are left with their accomplishments... with we know are none to the betterment on the US.
Hell they just took another swipe at coal... no not the shitty irs free for all. But Judge just okay'd Briben Administration banning all sales of coal from Federal Lands... so 50% of coal sales cut.
Weeeee more energy spiking on the way... better buy an extra blanket or three gonna be a cold ass winter. Thanks to the Joe's B&M.
