Grades:
Harris: A- and I would say exceeded expectations. She had the better sound bites and was much better with the optics plus no fly. Missed some shots but that's the minus on the A.
Pence: B. For a dude who has ****ing nothing to work with he did exceptional but... again he doesn't have anything to work with. Was a good soldier.
In the context of a debate Harris would win by being more direct if only slightly than Pence.
In the context of the race this is a resounding Team Biden win. It will moving nothing when it absolutely had to for Trump. The only outcome I see here is a slight uptick in Pence's negatives particularly among women.

I never have debated, so if this seems like a dumb question, feel free to unload on me 
Were Pence and Harris given the order of questions before the event?
The reason I ask is that at one point fairly early in the night, the moderator was stopping Pence on his time and said something to the effect of "that's a good segue way into the next question". Nearly simultaneously, Harris said "yes it is", as if she knew what was coming next, and it was coming to her.
Maybe she was just saying it out of nervousness, but it sure looked like she was clued in, rightly or wrongly.
I only watched about 15 minutes worth. When both of them were asked about both candidates being old geezers and the transition should the vp have to take over, neither one of them even remotely came close to answering the question. It would have been the hit of the night if one of them said something like "I don't expect the president to live through his term, which might be the best thing for the country."

Flash poll , WGN and Drudge both have it Pence 70%, Harris 30% (as of now)

CNN poll has it 59-38 Harris.
I think Pence did better than that but it shows people aren't buying what Trump is selling.
Poll was slightly off in its sampling vs the electorate and the MOE was 5% so I feel pretty good with my read of it.
