Brace yourselves for this breaking news. Maybe make sure you are sitting down.
The Whistleblower has been identified as a registered Democrat.
Shocking stuff. News at 10.

(a) Trump says we have (yesterday's press conference)...
"I had a great call with the President of Ukraine. It was 100 percent. You have the transcript.
And then, Schiff went up and he got — as the chairman of the committee, he got up and related a call that didn’t take place. He made up the language. Hard to believe. Nobody has ever seen this. I think he had some kind of a mental breakdown.
But he went up to the microphone and he read a statement from the President of the United States as if I were on the call, because what happened is, when he looked at the sheet — which was an exact transcript of my call, done by very talented people that do this — exact, word for word — he said, “Wow, he didn’t do anything wrong.” So he made it up. He went up to a microphone, and, in front of the American people and in Congress, he went out and he gave a whole presentation of words that the President of the United States never said. It has to be a criminal act. It has to be. And he should resign. And some people even say it was treason. But it was a very sad thing."

Why do you doubt his word?

The WB is irrelevant at this point. We have the transcript. Some say it's damning, while others say it's exculpatory.

How is it damning? The President has the Constitutional power to investigate alleged crimes, especially allegations that a sitting VP committed a crime. Further, we have a ratified treaty with Ukraine to cooperate with investigations.
If the transcript is damning how is the letter, signed by sitting democrat senators, asking Ukraine to cooperate with the investigation into the president not damning?
The only way the conversation would be damning if Trump asked the Ukraine to help him get re-elected and that did not happen.

The so called transcript is ten minutes. The call lasted thirty minutes. What is missing?

The narrative that you want, everything is falling apart for the left. Sure a headline here and there will blip out that will look like it has legs but reality is that half of the country wants socialists crushed like rodents. With such a hard core base how are you folks going to move opinion?

I know, Trump exceeds his own standard of stupidity. It’s like if Nixon went out to the press corp and told them he ordered the break-in.

The "possible political bias" mentioned - -and then dismissed -- in the Intelligence Community Inspector General report refers to the fact that the anonymous whistleblower who filed a complaint about President Donald Trump's interactions with the Ukrainian President is a registered Democrat, a source familiar with the ongoing investigation told CNN Thursday.
The intelligence community's inspector general, Michael Atkinson, acknowledged an indication of possible political bias in his assessment of the complaint but made clear that it did not change his overall conclusion that it appeared to be credible.
Apparently, neither Atkinson, the IG not McGuire acting DNI consider this to be disqualifying. I say apparently, but they actually said they don't.

That is wrong. Investigations are made by professionals, whose jobs do not depend on defeating someone in an election. Nor should a private citizen such as Rudy Giuliani suggest, demand or coerce a foreign government into an investigation of a US citizen. That is the job of the career officials in the Department. Of course a president can suggest to his appointees and they can suggest to their subordinates, but only a corrupt President and a corrupt Attorney General would do such a thing. Oh, wait.
If the transcript is damning how is the letter, signed by sitting democrat senators, asking Ukraine to cooperate with the investigation into the president not damning?
This is false-of course. In a 2018 letter signed by several Democratic Senators Ukraine was asked for information about how Ukraine was handling corruption inquiries within that country. There was no request to aid in Mueller's investigation of Trump. And if there were, it would have been ok because there was already an ongoing investigation (by Mueller)
The only way the conversation would be damning if Trump asked the Ukraine to help him get re-elected and that did not happen.
|
HELLO??? That is exactly what happened. Trump told Zelensky he would not get the weapons unless the Ukraine cooperated in investigating Biden. That would have helped Trump get elected. Whether he stated that out loud or not is not relevant.
