Fort Erie will race in 2014

Appears that there is a reprieve for Fort Erie.
They will be open from May 27th.

Agreed.
The local officials are reluctant to see so much employment disappear.

Quality of racing? We all know the answer to that one.
It's a track that I play once in a blue moon.

I don't know why you think Beulah is going to die. They are just moving, their not dying.

No, their license was transferred to Mahoning Valley Race Course in Austintown, 200 miles from Beulah. Opening day is Nov 24.

Doesn't look like it will be Beulah to me. If it is, what a joke that would be.

The people that work at Beulah and race at Beulah, and the few others left that attend Beulah, consider the act of Penn Natl using their permit to build a new facility somewhere else as "moving." If it's a good enough term for them, it should be good enough for anyone else.

Hoping at least one horse blows the turn for home, jumps the fence, jogs a mile, ends up in my front yard. Finders, keepers?
