So, ya wanna be an analyst?
Guy leaves a message on my office phone last night and says I've got a "personal visit" coming because longshots took the early double last night. Ominous, menacing, unbelievably vile and personal.
Added that 35-1 winners that I don't pick prove beyond doubt that I'm king idiot of planet earth. Most of the rest concerned my "day of reckoning." The guy lives in Michigan and said I'm not a "real man" because I "hide from him in wv."
Great start to my day.

Hopefully, the idiot has lost any money that might give him the airfare, or gas money, to get to WV.
Umm.....good luck there

You would be correct, sir. In fact, little would please me more than a "face to face."

Classic!
An April Fool's joke?
I thought the general population base of racing fans had dwindled to the point where no one cares enough anymore to phone in vile, menacing complaints to racing analysts.

Actually, not a joke. I did the april fools thing last night about Zenyatta being returned to racing. Nance bought it. Completely. Was ticked at their "greed."

That's a great April Fool's joke. (Hope you sprung it while on the air.)
That's not the reason I posted though. The same thing has happened to me...
Threatening emails in reaction to content posted here at Paceadvantage and/or the HANA blog. (Most of the time it's takeout related. Sometimes it's drugging of horses related.)
Like you, my sleep schedule remains unaffected.

Its a blameless society. Nobody ever can admit they were wrong, or made a mistake. Its always the "other guys" fault. How crazy is somebody to blame a TV analyst for THEIR losing bet?

There's a person on thoroughbredchampions.com who's been threatening to kill Larry Collmus and myself for many months.
Joke or not. Tain't funny McGee when you read it. Site hasn't seen fit to ban him after hundreds of posts. Nice. Go figure?

can we blame jockeys?
5th at the mountain last night was a crap ride by eddie martin on the chalk....horse was run wide all race...made a "menacing" move and then ended up something like 10 wide off the turn...I don't care how menacing your move is ya aint gonna win many races running in no mans land all race. still might now have beat the 8 but it would have been a helluva lot closer....would have keyed a solid pick 4 paying $400 after catching the #1 ($36.00) in the 2nd which is one of the horses that threw Mr. Michigan into a tizzy over mountain man...one mans trash is another mans treasure....well at least for 3 races.

Yes, on the air. She almost cried, so I soon abandoned the gag. Z is sacred territory to some.
