The root cause of this was the shutdown of the Abbott labs manufacturing facility in mid February. They produce about 40% of the baby formula nationwide. Most of that product is sold through the federal government WIC (Women Infants & Children) subsidized program. Abbott & the FDA just reached an agreement, but it will take about another 8 weeks to ramp up production.
So the administration has dithered for 3 months while supplies dwindled. This article highlights some of the issues around this. Read the quote from Tom Vilsack, the Agriculture secretary. They should have reduced the tariff in February.

More correlated harm by The Briben Administration. To inflict pain and suffering on US citizens. Can't this MF'er stroke out and the Ho laugh herself to death at the same time. Good Lord we can only take so much. And what we have had to endure so far in such a short time... we pray you intervene... the sooner the better.
I tell you what we need to amend the Constitution add term limits and a no confidence clause where we can remove the P and VP as a unit. Not suffer it out for years under a mentally declining puppet... its only life jacket... hold on, is an even worse mental midget waiting in the wings. And while we are at it add when a party has the presidency and any one of the two chambers have an equal slit. Control goes to the other side as a check on power.
