Ukraine is in the midst of an invasion by Russia, a much larger country. Thousands have died, the damage to infrastructure is incalculable. The ban only extends to parties with ties to Russia. It only lasts until the end of the crisis.
The ban was imposed on March 20 well after the Russian invasion began, which kind of disproves your final PS.

The Republican Party AS PRESENTLY CONSTITUTED is a disgrace and a danger to the Republic. Banning them would constitute an even worse danger.

Democrats love to ignore facts. Biden said white supremacy was the greatest threat to America. He must have been facing a mirror when he spoke those words. He ignores the many blacks killed by other blacks. He and the media were relentless in their trashing of Kyle Rittenhouse while ignoring the azzhole who plowed through a parade, the scumbag who shot up a NYC subway train, and the many cops killed by people of color.
I'd love to see Mostie walk through inner city Chicago at nightfall. He'd never live to tell about it.
