Please.
Kentucky was -5000 moneyline, 98% to win vs, St. Peters. If they played 100 times, Ky would win 98 by any analytic. With 3:23 left, Ky still had 90% chance to win. Even improbably going to overtime, Ky went 1-6 from the line.
Choose all but one of the other 99 runs of this game, and St. Peters would have been commended for their effort and forgotten this weekend.

Although you have stated the obvious, I'm not sure what your point is. The nature of the tournament is win the game in front of you and move on; which St Peter's has done, and 60-some others have not. I don't think anyone is saying they are a great team, but I think most fans whose favorite teams are out want to see the run continue.

Showing the 30 year anniversary of Duke/Kentucky Elite 8 game.
That is one of those games that grows in it's greatness as the years pass.

I find their run fascinating also, but we're getting everything from "Ky needs a coach" because they lost to St. Peters, to listing the attributes of the St. Peters team which by any measurable metric, was .01% to make the sweet 16.

Yeah, sometimes they sub in all 5 players. The TV announcers compared it to changing hockey lines. Or, maybe some might remember Paul Dietzel's substitutions in football at LSU.

Good post, mostpost.
St. Peter's didn't have Sister Jean.
The whistle just blew and within a week or so, St. Peter's will not have its outstanding coach, Holloway, either.
Seton Hall is Holloway's next stop, a no-brainer for anyone who follows east coast college ball.

Great coaches don't always win. But they win more than their share. Once again we have a Final Four with four great coaches.

Yeah, but that Ky needs a coach is from a Kentucky guy. They don't think about b-ball like the rest of us do.

I've still got a bracket alive with Kansas. Go Jayhawks.

I finished at 93.7 percentile of all the brackets. I think there were over 16 million brackets.

Yes, each team played defense well for a half.
