These were the will pays going in, so 2-3K on the 2 top choices was pretty close, the longest shot in the P3 won the finale & raised up the payoff:
2) $2,659.50
3) $9,363.50
5) $1,669.50
7) $12,547.40
8) $10,350.30
The win prices were, in order:
$17.80, $3.90, $12.80, $14.60, $3.20 & $19.40.
Here was my thinking: In the 1st leg I didn't like the Brown horse, so I went 2 deep with the 2 best win % FTS trainers in 2YO MCLs. Pletcher was 1 of the 2. The next race I liked the winner, but was afraid of Asmussen & Pletcher, I bet Shug's winner heavily in P3s, but went 3 deep in that one. The 7th race was the key. I was either going to have a great shot or go down the drain here. I had big p3s & DDs going with the #6 & my day was going to all come down to this race. Based on prior sheet #s & great workouts that included getting a B+ on DRF's clocker report in a recent Saratoga workout that indicated he was rounding into top form, I singled my best bet of the day, the $12.80 winner. From there I had 2 of the last 3 races ALL & was looking for big prices in both those races I singled the logical winner of the 9th & was guaranteed the E6 going into the final leg. I then was rooting for one of the longer prices & the best one hit. For $42 I had over a $12,500 profit. The best part was even though I was tempted to single the 2nd leg I played it safe & went 3 deep. If I hadn't gone 3 deep, my ticket would have been less than $42 & I would have had a signer. I squeezed in the non-signer by $53.
Without feeling that Gorgeous Charli was my best bet of the day & I could single him, I probably wouldn't have played it at all. Ironically, the 2 finishes that were the closest were my 2 singles, both got up by a neck in deep stretch.

Congrats -mandatory payout days are the only time to play that bet in my opinion. That would have been stupid to go all in leg 2 and catch the chalk-just couldn't get a feel for the race. Think Ward had two runners, Pletcher, Brown all good w/maidens and Shug chalk won

Thanks. The last time I hit one was almost 9 years ago on Halloween 2010. When it was $2, I only played them when I had at least 2 singles and another race or 2 with 2. The last one I hit I went 1X1X1X4X1X4, it cost me $32 and paid, with consos for 5 around $2,900.
I've hit 2 others going back 26 years. One for about $6k & the other around $1,500. This was my best one ever.

I hit my biggest bet ever earlier this year-its quite a rush. The teller said to me, I didn't hear you yelling and screaming (small OTB inside a casino). I told her I was trying to not draw attention to myself. By the time I got my money everyone there knew what I won and were coming by and congratulating me! I remember hitting the pick 6 on Travers day years ago, singling Street Sense in the Travers and Hard Spun in the Kings Bishop-oh the good ole days

$2 Win Parlay P5: 72233.61
$2 P5: 263386.00
$2 Win Parlay P6: 119185.46
$2 P6: 237947.00
For whatever reason, the P5 was a WAY better bet on Monday.
