Gee, you got me. It was the chain used to divide the pool. Or at least one of them. You’re too dumb to know being wrong is not the same as lying. Although you do both.
But I should thank you for pointing me to that video. I watched the whole thing and it explains perfectly why the black community has always supported Joe Biden. He treats them with dignity and respect and they reciprocate.
He treated Corn Pop with respect and even apologized for calling him Esther while making clear that CP would follow the rules like everyone else.
I can’t say they were ever friends, but they had mutual respect.

Some facts.
Biden worked as a lifeguard at a pool in which all of the other lifeguards were black. That pool was later renamed in his honor.
William “Corn Pop” Morris was a real person who swam at that pool. That fact was confirmed by his son, Leon Morris.
Biden said Corn Pop was a bad dude. Leon Morris said his father was a good man.
Both can be true. People do change for the better.
The Biden/Corn Pop story has been confirmed by some people including an officer of the NAACP.

Biden was a regular middle class guy, brushed shoulders with regular people,
His family was struggling financially and he wasn't strong academically,
so, he went to a nice private school (current tuition is $30k, but obviously may have been much different in his time)...
and you know Biden wasn't wealthy or an academic standout,
so he was class president of his private school for his Junior and Senior years.
Then when he was 30, he became a Senator.
he's an average joe, he's just like us.
