Miami Heat Historic Collapse Maybe

.

the Miami Heat are on the brink of history

no NBA team has ever lost a best of 7 playoff series after winning the first 3 games

this dates back all the way to 1947 when the NBA was called The Basketball Association of America

Since they were 44-38 on the regular season and lost their first play in game,
Miami has far exceeded expectations, while Boston has won 5 straight elimination games. Miami was .2 seconds from winning with Jimmy Butler had a bad shooting night. Tonight's game should be interesting.

Boston Garden for the Celtics is like Yankee Stadium is for the Yankees. The fans can be intimidating, especially so for a game seven. The house will be rocking.

Agree.

Game 7s are always fun. 7.5 point favorites.

Heat have been incredibly scrappy and tough. Think the Celtics depth and overall talent prevail. Especially at home.

Celtics also get Malcolm Brogdan after a two game absence for an arm strain. Celtics gave up their number one this year for him. Averaged 12 points this season off the bench.

Brown and Smart have to hit their free throws. Celtics can't rely on threes if they hope to win. More drives to the hoop and shooting from inside the arc. Lock down D and don't leave Miami open for uncontested threes.

Gregg Popovich has seen it all, knows all the tricks. He's the key to Miami.

Miami blowout, Celtics won't be winning the series after being down 0-3.

I didn't see that coming, getting blown out at home in a game 7? I wonder what Miami was to come out of the East? Had to be pretty damn high.
Even though Denver was the one seed a lot of people doubted them, I know I did. Denver -400 for the series Miami +290 on FanDuel.

.

the Heat can still make history this time in a good way

no # 8 seed has ever won an NBA Championship

neither has a # 7 seed for that matter

the '94/'95 Rockets are the only #6 seed ever to win a Championship

Since the NBA began in 1947, this year will mark the tenth time an NBA team and NHL team from the same metro area have made it to the Stanley Cup and NBA Finals.

But no metro area has ever seen both its teams win a championship in the same year.

Same city. Different sport: These NBA, NHL teams made Finals in the same year:
