Rhythm is the answer to what trivia question?
I'd say "worst BC juvenile winner of all time" but there's like 5 or 6 horses fighting for that title.

Last 2yo champ to win the Travers?

He did enter him? It was a big field. That was Rhythm’s year. Imperio…had the first name. When did he eventually run back?

Incurable Optimist

Mossflower (injured, never the same after)

Lakeway (illness, never the same after)

Danseuse

Flanders

Unbridleds Song - with different ownership and perhaps more patience with his hooves he might have had a special career beyond his BC and FL Derby wins. Looking back it's absolutely amazing how many good horses there were in that 1996 3yr old crop.

I was thinking of this one, but was too lazy to look her up; just remember her eventually getting beat a few times.

Another one to consider is Twining. Romped in his first several starts including the Withers and Peter Pan before getting thumped by Holy Bull and never running again.

Out of the great broodmare Courtly Dee.

Meanwhile, in a reverse concept, here's some horses who might have made the list had their careers been derailed after their first few starts.

Shared Interest
Jolie's Halo
Grand Hombre
Private Terms

Unfortunately, they kept running and were eventually exposed which is what I would suspect of many of the horses we've been talking about in this thread.

I was at Belmont when Holy Bull beat him in the Dwyer. Very talented horse no doubt. Schulhofer was loaded back in those days.

Earlier in that card the immortal Party Manners made his second start. No one remembers him, but prior to his injury he unbeaten and showing enormous talent for McGaughey/Phipps. He could have been any kind.

The biggest "what could have been" question for me will always be... What if Holy Bull hadnt broken down in the Donn? What an amazing year 1995 could have been.

This is like my dream team of mid 90's horses who I loved, nice list.
