Hard to believe that Mage is sitting at 2-1....where's the money?? Looks like the crowd is spreading.

I hear ya, just a little chilly there for openers.

Mage is 4-5 based upon doubles though with the Pimlico 18% win pool takeout brought into the calculation.

1) 2-1
2) 75-1
3) 4-5
4) 42-1
5) 8-1
6) 9-1
7) 5-1

I was just going to ask the community the same thing. I'd think he'd be odds-on with Baffert a somewhat close second, but it's really a compact betting field.

It doesn't look like a closely competitive Grade One to me.

I'm still trying to figure out who made the 2 horse 10-1. Talk about nearly cutting the win pool takeout in half for everyone as a favor. I can't even really see the 4 at 10-1 but the 2 was utterly shocking at that number IMO. Does that Mattress guy like longshots sometimes?

After sleeping on it I'm now going to go with the notion that the 2 & 4 both no-hopers got crushed in the win pool to setup some sort of a fixed odds score offshore. Seeing both sitting at 10-1 after the race was completely bizarre to me. I posted above where they were tracking to be from the doubles pool. There's no way it should've been that far off. Those DD odds made sense to me.

I wasn't playing the horses yesterday and was just casually following along reading the forums. Finally sitting at my desk.

Almost positive you're correct... your projections off the the doubles matrix mimic what most thought the board would look like at post time. There's no logical reason for the to be $10.50

IT's veryyy odd that both are exactly $10.50 on the dot. Last year's tote board was really strange too.
