Do they still have a casino? I was fishing at Lake Oneida on a family vacation years ago and the weather kept us off the lake so we hit the track. Had a big day and bought the whole crew a big dinner at a fancy restaurant after we left the track.

Well that sucks. It was pretty new the last time I was there and still kind of a novelty for the area. I think Turning Stone opened about the same time I was there.

Vernon Casino on brink of closing; racing next
Rochester, NY – Workers United Upstate New York, the labor union representing Vernon Downs Casino Hotel employees, announces the racino will be forced to close in stages by the end of this year. Harness racing at the track would then shut down by early September.
I thought Gural was going to save racing in multiple locations?
Years ago I thought he was going to be a hero?
For Gural its all about money and not about promoting harness racing.
When he doesn't get what he wants (this time he is demanding an increase in agent commision) he bullies and threatens to shut down and laying off 250 employees.
Aw, that’s so sad to read. Who would’ve ever saw this coming. Regardless : heading up to help support the chit hole by betting some low LOW budget racing this weekend. Ny is embarrassing at this point. PA has such a better product.
