Take it from a guy who definitely has a face made for radio, video provides a little extra. Low light helps.......

Video definitely makes it easier to read the other guys and get a cue of when to speak and when to listen. The phone makes that tough. But I do like being in boxers and having uncombed hair!

European Timeform ratings
Hi - New to this site, from UK. Big fan of Timeform over here. Quick question, will the UK / European TF ratings make it to the PP's eventually. Take Countryman at GP today. His TF rating in 2012 Timeform Racehorses was 82P. Would be nice to see this in TFUS. Great stuff on TFUS so far though, and this forum too.

Welcome!
Any ratings for races run outside of North America are the ratings from Timeform, as shown below:

Thanks
So the 'P' from the UK rating is dropped - just wanted to be sure. Cheers.

Yes. I need to learn a little more, but the rating you cited (82p) was more an overall number, right? We give the Timeform rating for each individual race.

Correct, the 'P' is for Promising horses. Useful for 2yo's / 3yo's embarking on their classic 2000 guineas /Derby careers for example.

I used Timeform several times in Europe, took some getting used to but I liked it.

You could say us Brits have the same problem with getting used to Sectional timings. We don't get to see them very often so American racing is much more appealing for me.

I see that Meydan has entries listed for Saturday. Do you think PP's will be available for those races? I can't play during week days due to the time frame and work schedule but like to play there from time to time when they run on weekends. It's good exercise for big Dubai races later on.
