My closest neighbor has a loaded rifle propped right by the front door in the living room. His wife smokes pot, but he doesn't. The guns are his and this is not a community property state. I guess I will have to call the sheriff's department to see if they are committing a crime. Just kidding.
I wonder if she used the gun to shoot an intruder and while investigating they found the pipe with residue in the ashtray. Would the local sheriffs have to call the FBI?

I am as close to a natural gun person that you can get, I came up young with junior hunter education and gun safety. So the times do chance somewhat, having a loaded Winchester 94 your son could get to defending the family if needed has given way to the locked gun cabinet. Today's concern is should someone enter your home and get easy access to your firearms then hurt someone else is a reasonable change in what we need to prevent. On the other hand someone who keeps a handgun in a draw on the same floor as the owner is reasonable with the logic that the gun follows the owner in person to the car or upstairs or whatever instead of leaving the house with an unlocked firearm available to anyone who enters legally or not. The responsibly of control of the firearm at all times by its owner.

I heard today that CCW holders in Ohio are getting letters from ATF if they have a medical marijuana card.
Instructing them to turn in their guns and permits.
I have not verified this……

What no option to turn in the pot card?
I'd tell em" sure thing... right after Hunter Briben is convicted on his gun violations and drug possessions. Till then piss off. Not that I partake in smoke or drink. But I do unlike the POS at the ATF and DOJ have principles and standards.
