I’m sure those people are thrilled to have their lives disrupted by a tiny minority that is putting the country in danger, or at the very least causing chaos and disruption.

The Emergencies Act is not unilateral. The Governors of the Provinces in which it is invoked must be consulted. And it must be approved by both Houses of Parliament within 7 days.

What do you mean if? Even when it came to blocking roads the BLM supporters were worse than these truckers. Everyone knows where the truckers were going so people could avoid the chaos if they choose. The BLM people would spring up out of nowhere.
