How 'bout a weight break in the saddle for participants of all 3 races?

Because the horse racing world has been talking about this star named California Chrome... Randy Moss said today this was the most electric horse racing atmosphere he has ever experienced at a race track. EVER! Even more so then Smarty Jones, and Smarty sure was a star. Average horse.. lol. this guy takes the cake for the biggest moron iv come across all triple crown season.

back to the minors buddy, i wont be looking for nor care about your reply...

I wish California Chrome a speedy recovery from his slight quarter injury and i shall return to the forum next Triple Crown season... Hopefully we can get California Chrome at the Haskell on my home track. This horse made my spring and no matter what happens will go down as one of my all time favorites.

EMD4ME, your a moron who tries to pretend to be smart but you are a fool talking out your ass like you know something... you dont know shit

peace out til next year, again dont care nor will i be looking for your reply
Solid flame for the most part, but then you got passive aggressive toward the end. In fact, you got that way twice. Your second paragraph was the best as it was positive.

If that is so, then the connections must shoulder much of the blame for that. CC won the last stakes race ever contested at Hollywood Park on Dec. 22. Since that time he raced six more times, the Belmont being the 7th. That is seven races in 5 1/2 months. Too many? Too much? Perhaps a lighter schedule might have left him with more in reserve for the gruelling 1 1/2 of the Belmont?
I think the reason for all the racing is because Sherman probably wasn't sure exactly what he had until the San Felipe. The horse did not blast through the state program during the 2013 racing season. Really, the only race he could have skipped once Sherman knew he had the goods was the SA derby. I don't know if he needed those points to qualify for Churchill, but you're never going to skip the SA Derby with a sharp horse anyway.

Horse Race Insider must be upset with this apology. They thought what this guy said, needed to be said.

Sudden success and fame are not easy things to control...and they can easily get the best of you, if you are not watchful.

It seems to me that Mr Coburn has gotten very lucky at least TWICE in his life. He appears to have won both in sport AND in marriage...and that's very rare indeed.

Luck is fleeting, Mr Coburn. Smile and be thankful, while it lasts...

Marriage? Luck?
Didn't a poster here say that this marriage is his fourth?
Well at least this one has lasted 20 years.

Smarty Jones is the only one of the KD-PS winners since Real Quiet that truly gave a good account of himself in the Belmont. Since Real Quiet, the Preakness has been coming up easily the weakest of the 3 races, giving horses that may not be 100% worthy a shot at the TC. Aside from Afleet Alex and Smarty Jones, I don't know if I would be comfortable putting any of these other 2/3s since RQ on a pedestal. I'm pretty comfortable thinking CalChrome could beat a field like that at 1 1/2 miles, but I also think it's obvious he'd need everything to fall for the most part right to do it.

I think everybody wants our TC winner to go out there and WIN IT, not survive it.

My wife used to be into hoss'-racin' with me for many years, but not so much anymore, but we still view and share the "Triple Crown" races together...

So, the race goes off and we are rooting for a new TC-Champ, only to see Espinoza flailing away with the whip in midlane, and right then we knew there would be no new Champ this year....

After the race was over, we were also disappointed that the "outrider-reporter with the microphone" went over to Espinoza first rather than the "winner" of the race, and we took exception to that as well...

Then, when Coburn began his emotional rant, my wife simply said, "Wow what a Sore-Loser that guys is"....

Also, if CC could talk to Victor, perhaps he might have said something like, "What the heck were you beating the crap out of me for ?.."That was the the fastest and farthest that I could go" !...

Great apology on Mr Coburn's part - never thought it would happen. He displayed a lot of class this morning. I think most will forgive him for his previous rants.
