What does the IA stand for? So we have birthing parent, non birthing parent.
What the hell is chest feeding? has Pete Buttwhatever had baby bottle liners implanted? In the case of Pete and "his" husband neither is a birthing parent so what are they called? Sperm depositor and non sperm depositor? My parents died 20 years ago when I was in my early 40's so I don't need to worry what to call them.

Sounds like a solution in search of a problem.

However, there is a practical side to this. I have never been a parent, but it seems that when you register your child for school, you must provide names and contact info for his or her parents. Traditionally those spaces are labeled Mother and Father.

Whether you like it or not, that is not how all families are constructed now a days.

My Solution. Design the registration form so that one line has Mother listed twice and a second line has father listed twice. Parents can fill out the form as appropriate for their situation.

Example :

Mother………….. Mother…………

Father…………. Father………….
