The insurance company paid to have the dealer do everything one step at a time.
After they'd spent $3k+ over the course of almost a year , they said, "We're done."
They literally replaced everything in the ventilation system except the actual air conditioner. Every bet of ducting.
Really couldn't blame them.

Your experience was much worse than mine!

The female cat I had before the current male cat originally started killing the mice but after she got older she just started playing with them, then it was team work, she would flush them out and I would scoop them up and toss them outside. I wonder if any of them came back in.

I was almost tempted to drop some layout dye on them to see if we were catching the same mouse multiple times, if I had something non toxic handy I would have started dying them. No issues with my current cat he kills everything. He even killed a 4 foot black racer, I hope I finally got the area he got in closed up, don't need any copper heads in the house. Juvenile snakes can get in easy until I replace the exterior doors, they were all poorly hung.
Pinball probably has a half dozen snake kills under his belt. I found that dead 4 footer in the middle of the night when I got up to use the restroom. In the morning I thought I had a weird dream till I saw all the blood streaks on the floor.

Absolutely. I had a big tom when I had the mice issue. He'd bat one aside, then go to another and do the same. After a few days, he ignored the whole group.

Caught two little f**kers last night. Guess just needed some time and moving them around to catch em. Gonna set again tonight and then start setting peppermint oil and deterrent spray around. One of the active ingredients in the spray is peppermint oil and as mentioned here looks to be a good deterrent.

Here's your solution!
This guy has a YouTube channel called Mousetrap Monday. Every week he demonstrates a trap, new or antique. He has hundreds of mice-catching videos. I bought this setup for my barn. It works.
