Asa Hutchinson gives an update daily, and pretty much begs people to wear masks and social distance. He is also doubling the number of contact tracers. And has a goal every month on testing.....this month the testing goal is 200K.

I have a Republican governor who is a Nazi I guess. I like him though, as I have already said. He will get my vote, but Trump will not. Of course, I'm not a partisan zombie, so I can do stuff like that.

Masks are easy to visualize and so govt uses them along with real measures to control the virus. "hey, you aren't wearing a mask so you must not be washing your hands". That sort of thing. Stop letting the govt control your mind.

Nobody is suggesting locking down, and the better numbers in EU are based on people praciticing the guidelines.

If wearing a mask and practicing social distancing is too much for some people to handle, then expect more economic devastation, because counties with high numbers are going to lose consumers, businesses, tourists... and companies are going to close stores, like Apple and others have.

Weren't you the one who said the economy was important? How hard is it to wear a mask and practice social distancing, in order to cut down on community spread?

Caught that bus months ago. Brother (Ph.D. physics) provided full documentation in February, w/diagrams and charts in a full PDF format. (I was ROTFL, since mathematical/engineering minds tend to being more exacting than I require, and his "report" was like a full semester of Materials Science, with tables on Aerosol Filtration evaluations w/environmental factors included. )

I happen to believe that combining a number of interventions lessens risk, and I believe that masks have something to offer. I also studied many of those Asian models, you know, people who fought SARS. Seems like they got something out of that experience.

so the CDC just announced....CNN just now on the Cuomo show crowing that the numbers for THE infected are indeed MOST likely 10x's higher than what's being reported....

As a reminder...I stated this months AGO....

What that ALSO means...(which they are TOTALLY ignoring...the fatality rate then is a FULL 10x's lower...move THAT decimal point...which of course I ALSO stated WOULD BE the case...

So...think thru all the ramifications of SAID NEW knowledge....yourself....not WHAT THEY tell you to think....

What does that mean....???

I'll tell you what's happening to this country...the majority of the citizens are scared SHITLESS. I spend a considerable amount of time in grocery stores...mine and others. 99% of the customers there wear masks, but an occasional "unmasked" customer will invariably walk in undetected...and you wouldn't believe the commotion that this isolated case causes among the other customers. Customers run to the store managers to complain about the lone "lawless" customer...and some customers insist that they'll never shop at that store again. I was at a grocery store today, where a deli employee dared to momentarily pull his mask slightly downward and expose his nose...no doubt so he could breathe a little after wearing the darned thing all day long. This caused a freaking RIOT to break out among the deli customers...and the poor deli employee returned his mask post-haste to its original position, breathing be damned.

No matter how "optimistic" the politicians and some of the media may be...this isn't translating well to the general public. The people out there are still scared to DEATH...and their fear isn't going anywhere anytime soon, regardless of what the "braver" among us may say, or do.

In Illinois, the optimistic Governor is opening up the state's casinos tomorrow. My guess is that a search warrant will be needed in order to locate the casino customers.
