Thanks, if you watch the TwinSpire replay the announcer calls the race "Official"....and according to the charts, he paid off as a winner.

I could find no information about this horse, other than he finished 1st in a Maiden $7500 claimer at Delaware Park on May 18. The people who wagered on him in that race collected, and the horse was subsequently disqualified and placed 8th (last).

So, this is a guess:
1. The horse wasn't eligible for this race and was disqualified, after the fact, because of this. This seems very unlikely, since it was a Maiden $7500 Claiming race with no conditions.
2. The horse failed a post-race drug test. If so, the horse would be disqualified from winning that maiden race (and placed last), and his purse earnings would be forfeited. He would then be eligible to run in another Maiden race, which he did today.

He also ran in a $7500 Claimer (NW2 L) on June 6, where he finished 3rd.

Hopefully someone can give you a definitive answer about this horse.

This must be a new thing with Equibase..If the horse won and was Dq for the race it would show different payouts..The only other thing possible was a positive test..Since he ran back on June 6th in a NW2L that pretty much confirms the horse came back with a positive..
