If oil was crashing based on worldwide recession/depression and a horrible US economy, that's one thing...but that's not why oil is crashing...thus all this being tagged as an excuse as to why stock indexes are falling further down right now is BS.
We're either going to close under 2800 by EOD tomorrow, in which case I say sell....OR...we're going to close green (above Friday's close). There is no middle man here in my opinion. This week is a defining week in the markets. Monday in particular.

often the markets go up and down for no good reason other than being able to get it down.
since the markets went up on air, going down fast will be easy. i say short term support is around S+P 2000. then time to re think it.

To paraphrase Elon Musk, this is the dumbest shit I have ever seen.
Dow will probably be down 2400 at some point during the day, but finish positive EOD...

The good news in all this is RR and lamboguy finally broke even.
But RIP my 401k.
That, and we're finally back to June 2019 levels in the stock market...I thought we'd never get there.

In military aviation pilots are taught about an important concept called being on the Back Side of the Power Curve. For every aircraft and altitude there is a speed and power curve. Until the aircraft gets too slow things work just fine. A lot like the Fed. But when the aircraft flies too slow and drag gets too high, the addition of more power makes the situation worse. The aircraft stalls no matter how much power the pilot applies. A lot like the Fed.
On Tuesday the 3rd of March the Fed surprised the market with a 50 basis point drop in interest rates. The move was intended to reassure the market that the Fed had things under control. The market in turn surprised the Fed by doing the opposite of what those investing using the rear view mirror believed.

Nice call that the virus wasn't the only factor. Did "they" know about oil back on Feb 27? It seems way overdone but perception is reality. Now all these charts are broken, how long before they are repaired? If Putin blinks and gives in re: oil, we've seen the bottom in oil. And there will come a day when the virus peaks. Based on news reports, I thought I'd be dead now or have all my money eviscerated by the market.
