Thank you so much !

Hello Rafael,

Unfortunately a number of your selections over the past few days were invalid. Some specified show wagers, which are not allowed, and some did not specify any wager type at all.

Regards,

Chris

Scoring Update

Please be advised that scoring of the final contest day will be delayed by an undetermined number of days.

I have been fighting a nasty and very painful eye infection, which has only gotten worse of the past 24 hours. The cornea specialist says there is not much that can be done but to wait this thing out. Not much can be done for the pain either, which is pretty much constant around the clock.

I'll answer all scoring questions and private messages in due time.

Regards,

Chris

Rest your eyes Chris.... Your sight and vision is more important than any Contest.

My thoughts and Prayers are with you for a quick recovery.

Larry

PS... Have a Blessed Easter.

This is very unfortunate news Chris - please take as much complete downtime as you need to take care of your health, no worries about this little Contest, now promise! Just get better soon.

I have written and called Chris and after leaving things here for a few days, I can step in to complete the scoring for the final day if that becomes necessary.

Thanks everyone for a great Contest!

Ted

** Final Day Scoring **

So far, I have not heard back from Chris, so I will presume - optimistically - that he is recovering quietly, abstaining from communications for the moment.

I will go ahead and score the final day of this Contest and post the results within the next 24 hours. I'll use Chris' final Friday April 18 Contest Standings listing as a starting point. If anyone had sent Chris a PM with any questions or proposed corrections to their score from that Friday listing, would you kindly re-send that PM to me ASAP.

When the Final Standings are posted tomorrow, there will be a 48 hour period for challenges and corrections. It would be nice to formally announce the Contest winners by this weekend, but let's play it by ear.

Get well soon Chris - we are all in your debt for the amazing job you have done scoring our Contests. Thank you!

Ted

I just got an email from Track Collector Chris (typed by his wife). His eye infection was finally diagnosed as shingles - something I would not wish on anyone. He has been taking some strong medicine and has basically kept his eyes closed for several days now. Chances are it may be a few weeks before drugs and rest treat this.

Chris - our prayers for your recovery!

Meanwhile, I will complete the scoring of this Contest as I mentioned above.

Ted

Hello everyone,

It is hard to believe but this is the first time back on the forum in two weeks.

Thanks for all your prayers and kind words of encouragement! It will still be a long process before healing is completed, perhaps several more weeks. A few days ago my condition was fully confirmed (Shingles) after which I was finally able to get some relief from the constant and significant pain thru the drug percocet.

Unless advised by Ted otherwise, I'll finish up the scoring over the next day or two.

** FINAL RESULTS (Unofficial) **

I had just about finished scoring when Chris made his post. To spare him the effort, here is my tabulation of the Unofficial Results. It is based on the Standings as of Friday April 18, with the Final Day added in.

Congratulations to JETSWIN who appears to have over-taken tomack59 at the 1/16 pole! horses4courses stays the course for 3rd (unofficially).

If anyone has any tabulation errors to report, please send me a Private Message ASAP. Please see the Notes below the FINAL STANDINGS for any Last Day problems which affected a few peoples scores. (I hope I haven't blown it too badly!)

The Final results will be made Official on Sunday April 27.

Notes: the following issues affected some players' scores on the Final Day. If you have a concern about your score, please first check if the following apply to you. Otherwise, please do send me a PM. Thanks.

1. These scores are based on the scores from Friday April 18. If there were any problems with those scores, they have not been addressed yet. Please advise me ASAP.

2. Per Rule 9, the minimum individual wager is $2, so you can't have a $1 Exacta wager.

3. Someone posted a play with the exact same PA timestamp as the Equibase Chart (CT11), and someone posted a play 3 minutes after CT13 went off. Per Rule 7, these were counted as losses.

4. A few players overbet by a few dollars on their final play and had their wager amounts reduced accordingly.

.
P.S. - This was a surprising amount of work, though fascinating! I have a whole new level of respect for all the detailed effort Chris has been putting out scoring these Contests these past years. We're not paying him enough! Get well soon Chris!
