don't put me in with the people that like this guy. in my eyes he is a complete lowlife.
give me a different guy with the same views that he claims he has and i am good with that. my beef is him, not his policies.
we pay our taxes, we deserve better than Cavanaugh.

I prefer a conservative supreme court as well. If the goal of the Trump Administration and the biggest perk cited by his supporters is IN FACT court packing why the hell are a lot of you so in love with this guy?
There is ZERO shortage of conservative justices to replace his nomination with.
Their nomination also will not be nearly as costly in terms of political capital as ramming this guy through.
It's not like he is going to prison if he's pulled. He'll continue to preside over his current appointment for the rest of his life if so chooses...
This whole thing is a textbook example of be willing to risk the war to win a pyhrric victory.

Speaking only for myself, this isn't about Kavanaugh. This is about the legal process for a president to nominate a judge and the Senate to confirm him. The Dems can't get their tiny little brains around the fact that they lost the election. Or to be more precise, Hillary lost it. And they can't stop this appointment using the legal process. So they are trying to lynch Kavanaugh, without evidence of guilt.
And for the Dems, it's not about Kavanaugh either. They no doubt would have tried to do the same with Gorsuch, but couldn't even come up with charges as shaky as those against Kavanaugh.
Some say approval of Kavanaugh would hurt the GOP with women voters in November. I doubt it. I think failure to confirm him would hurt the GOP with many voters. They would not vote Dem, they just would not vote, out of disgust with the GOP and the process.
