Woodville
So Chad Brown's assistant enters a firster in his own name in the fourth at Saratoga and it wins by 10 under a death grip.
5/2 if you got it.
The tote board knew who Jose Abreau was.

Horse worked out in company with a Chad Brown horse (First time starter who ran a high 60's beyer).
The info was there if one looked deep enough.

I googled Jorge Abreu after the race mainly because I figured he might be subbing for a suspended trainer. Too late but now I know....

The tote board knew who Jorge Abreu was but it appears you don't.

So is Abreu out on his own now, or is he still an assistant to Chad Brown? Is such an arrangement allowed to be an assistant & to have horses under your own name? Didn't something like this get Diane Balsamo & David Jacobson in hot water over the winter?
Was alive in the pick 5 to the 2 faves with experience in this race, felt completely sick when I saw the money this firster was taking & how nice looking a mover when out on the track, what a waste of 13-1 & 12-1 to begin the sequence. Funny thing is I thought the Kimmel horse who scratched was going to be the killer debut runner in this race, might've been a real interesting matchup.

I don't know if the rules vary by jurisdiction, but I've seen a number of assistants run their own strings. I would think as long as you have trainers license it's ok.

New trainer, and not Chad Brown.

One of the best Trainer Talk interviews I've heard this year is available on HRRN and the person being interviewed is Jose Abreu's brother Fernando, an assistant to Allen Jerkins for nearly 20 years. He went out on his own after his passing. He shares some cool stories about the Chief.

Hated Woodville today, and didn't come close anyway. Bet 5 to win, boxed 5-7 in the exacta, bet 5, 7 - 2,3,4,6,8 - 5,7 and 2,3,4,6,8 - 5, 7 - 5, 7 in the tri, leaving Woodville off completely, then 5, 7 with 2 in the double. Nothing straight on 2 in the 9th after whiffing the 8th, then see she romped at 15-1.
That's why I have a day job.

Didn't he have one at GP sunday as well? This guy should get 10000 horses. He's what 4 for his first 5 or something close to that?

Still not as good as Chad's win percentage.
