The OP mentions Oscar Nominated had an excuse because he had a wide trip. Given the gradual nature of the turns at KD, I think the effect of wide trips are somewhat negated.

That's true. It also holds for Belmont with its big sweeping turns. However, Oscar's trip was so extremely wide that he had no chance. He did well to perform as well as he did.

Kentucky Downs would be a good track for Trakus. Hard to take trip notes on path width there.
