The 2018 PGA Championship
Back for more action on the last major of the year thanks to NJ making sports betting legal. I wish they would start offering an "each-way" bet which would allow me to cash at about 1/5th of the odds if a golfer finishes in the top 5 (just an example). William Hill says the bet is probably coming to a bookie shop here soon.
At any rate, these are my bets - win only and where the bet was made:
Rory McIlroy - $25 to win at 15-1; get back $400; Borgata in Atlantic City
Alex Noren - $15 to win at 50/1; get back $765; Borgata in Atlantic City
Francisco Molinari - $20 to win at 22-1; get back $460; Ocean Resort Casino in Atlantic City
I accept I probably missed the boat with Molinari but nobody is hotter and he was 20-1 at the Borgata. I've seen enough of Noren on the European Tour (thanks to the Golf Channel). If he is close, he can definitely close the deal. Rory won this championship twice before and comes here in good form. Still, I wish he wasn't playing with Tiger because Tiger draws such a huge crowd.
Anybody else have an opinion?

FYI, William Hill runs the sports book at the Ocean Resort Casino in Atlantic City. And Borgata offers betting lines and odds originating from MGM Resorts.

Like your wagers, but cotdam do you hate America.
I'd do a flyer in Spieth, Cantlay, Bubba, and Schauffele.

Generally, Euros get less respect here by the bettors. I must admit I did think long and hard about Patrick Reed at 30-1 but he has cooled off lately.

I'll go with Finau, McIlroy & Cantlay.

If I were ranking European golfers for the PGA tourney I would put Paul Casey first, followed by Tommy Fleetwood than A. Noren.
You being an ex-IRS agent of course I don't bet.

I thought a Euro was going to win this week. I would have bet Fleetwood or Rahm.

It is a pure ball-strikers course this week.
I'm simply dumbfounded as to how McIlroy isn't tearing it up. Rahm still has a shot.
Gonna root for Rickie to get it done.

He's got five golfers in front of him, so he's tied for 6th.

I watched most of the afternoon.
Tiger was amazing!!! I was thrilled beyond measure for him and so was the crowd. The winner will be vaguely remembered, Tiger's second place finish will not be forgotten any time soon.
