That is what i found out, the windshield was removed and sent to the national archives and the car was shipped back to Ford Moter Company and referbished to continue it as a lease car to the Secret Service for 3 more Presidents. Pictures of the windshield can be found on the internet with heavy copywrite warnings.

The riots were in September, we returned to San Diego November 21st. Some of our squadron returned to Vietnam when the Diems were assassinated but we were already making our way home.
