It is hard to generalize.
The best casinos succeed in keeping their customers happy.
Comps, service, and general product offered, vary from house to house.
If casinos aren't treating their customers the right way,
they don't deserve to keep them.

I have a close friend who is a pit boss at a Vegas casino. We are such close friends that I was the best man at his wedding. He enjoys telling me that the casino brass look at their customers as the butcher looks at the lamb. And the only reason that their big players get comped is so they don't lose their money at some other place. They view their customers as suckers who are out to be fleeced...he tells me.

What general area of Vegas? I have not been there in years, but every time I went there over many years, each area gave off specific feelings about attitude toward customers.
Downtown used to be the most customer friendly, but had turned into indifferent grind joints the last few times I was there.
Most of the big places on the Strip were highly impersonal processing plants. As the old saying goes, you can shear a sheep many times, you can only slaughter it once. They went for the shearing while trying to keep the sheep fat, dumb and happy.
Again, it has been many years, but the last few times I was there, I felt most comfortable in the casinos often described as those that catered to the locals. Places like Sam's Town, Orleans, Boulder Station, etc. Just for pure entertainment, and expecting to pay for the privilege, I enjoy a few hours from time to time playing video poker or low stakes craps. Those places are the best for that.

Except for the "odds" in craps, every bet in the casino has "take" figured in. If the casinos do not advertise that then educate yourself and try not to blame the management or dealers when they pay you 15 dollars for a 1 buck YO when the natural odds are 18-1. The payoffs are advertised. If you wanna bet it then go for it

Certainly, there are plenty of casino workers who operate this way.
The casino is in the gambling business to win money.
Turning it into something personal, I suppose, is inevitable for some.
That goes for both customers and casino staff.

Sadly, One by one, the once glorious stars of the Strip, close and fade away(or imploded):

More bad news for Caesar's
Caesars Palace could face paying between $12 million and $20 million worth of fines stemming from a federal investigation into how the casino prevents or detects money laundering:

Is the Genting Group which is building the Resorts World in Las Vegas the same or affiliated with the Genting concession service vendor which someone in another thread mentioned operates at Aquaduct? Remember the $5.00 cup of coffee comments? I recall someone mentioning they were also from Malaysia.
