Some pretty interesting looking ones out there, in interesting locations.
My current favorite is Australia. Someone shared with me this map of all tracks throughout the country (AUS). The bush tracks are sort of fascinating. ALso, several of them include photos of the inside of the facility.

I have a spreadsheet listing racecourses throughout the world that have been active within the last couple of years. In each country, I show some tracks that are closed. These are tracks that I have visited and didn't feel the need to break them out. Though, at the end of the sheet, I list tracks that have closed that I haven't visited.
Google Earth is a fascinating platform to look at the world. Since your favorite is Australia, have a look at Lightning Ridge. It has no turns, just a straight track. It looks like it goes right through town (or close to it). Also look at the coordinates for Exmouth. I was stationed there (US Navy) in the early 90's. When you plot it you won't see a racecourse, but part of a marina. A few years after I left, a typhoon wiped out the racecourse and they decided not to rebuild it. But if you scroll back on the timeline (bottom left) and go to 2002, you will see the racecourse. You could do that with all the racecourses that have closed, like Garden State, Bay Meadows, Longacres, etc...
You may want to look at the some of the ones in France. They have some interesting configurations. Check out Fontainebleau, Compiegne, Longchamp, Chantilly, Le Lion d'Angers. In the UK, Goodwood, Brighton, Windsor. In Germany, Baden-Baden. These are some of the more interesting layouts that come immediately to mind, but there are many, many more.
The spreadsheet is attached. Have fun with it!

just got back from Target, all paper products/fresh meat gone. It wasn't busy but it is cold and rainy here. There was frozen goods which is what I was looking for. There was a limit on frozen pizzas. Overall, basically a normal shopping experience

Normal shopping experience does not include the complete lack of paper products and meat products.
How long do you think this can go on before riots break out?
Where's the BEEF? has a whole new meaning in 2020.

My son is a night stocker at Safeway. Getting all my needs right off the truck. He just buys what we need before the pallets are even broken down, throws it in the break room, and swings it by in the morning when he's off work. One of the few "bennies" I've ever experienced in a situation like this. Usually I'm with the uncleaned masses.

the meat section is really small-should have been more specific. This wasn't a super target, just an old target that added food aisles 7-8 years ago.

Happy belated Ralph! I have a birthday coming up so I feel your pain celebrating something with this giant mess swirling around us...
Then again, major catastrophes like to happen around my birthday for some reason...
Coronavirus
Three Mile Island
Exxon Valdez
Fukushima
plus probably others I'm forgetting...
Some really bad shit loves to go down in March.
Beware the Ides they said...
