If you make a app, I will download it

.

I agree with you. My marketing geniuses do not understand that a horse racing app will not sell 10,000,000 copies. It will sell about 200. Or less. Even at $0.99.

put HSH on a Amazon server and let people get to it over the web or via app, just charge a monthly access fee. Let the servers do the number crunching.

Your life would be a lot easier without supporting a user installed Windows program I'd guess...

I'd agree with Dave and say the market is close to non-existent for iPhone apps for (real world) racing, though I will say that the racing games market could be a nice little earner.

It's very, very hard to make money anymore just developing mobile apps - it's like the movie business; an occasional hit, with many failures. The subscription model would help but you are entering a full time deal then I think.

I've seen players at the track use ADW apps for betting. I haven't really found any other scenario when players feel like they need mobility over a computing power (as your poll a few weeks ago showed).

I'm considering building a dedicated native app for thorobase, but it already works well enough on the mobile Safari browser (save for those YouTube videos that aren't h.264) so it's a low priority.

I have an iPod Touch and like the Equibase and BC apps. If Verizon gets the iphone I will probably get one. I hope there are more racing apps available soon.

Would people be interested in a race recap type podcast featuring staes races or races bundled by category like "3yo allowances" or day by day replays from tracks?
