This is great news. The UK medicines regulator has approved the vaccine and it will be rolled out next week.

Earlier today the UK started to vaccinate people, the first people in the world to be given the vaccine outside clinical trials. The first two people to get it were given the injection in the hospital 3 miles from my house so feeling quite proud of my local hospital.
The second person to receive it was a 91 year old woman followed by by an 81 year old man named William Shakespeare.

I presume they must have pretty solid systems in place as it is being done by the NHS and it will be on their medical records. When someone gets it they are given a card which states when they have to return for the second dose.
