and 1 more thing, the bank i opened up was at a brand new branch. the branch manager loves my dog and got her to doggie sit him in the bank all day every Friday now and the bank is down the street. Doggie daycare charges $40 a day, and i have 3 girls sitting in a bank begging me to leave the dog with them. that's what i call old-school neighborhood banking!

i am really a complete idiot when it comes to this. all i know is that a different dividend gets declared every year based on demand for eggs, profit on sales, and the cost to produce the eggs.
i am also pretty nerdish to dream up why an egg company would be a great bet one year before it actually happens. it really takes a big imagination. with the case of CALM, i convinced myself that because of the pandemic and people staying at home to work, they were going to eat more breakfast and they would have the time to cook eggs. plus ii liked the idea about the amount of protein in eggs and thought that people would run to them and that turned out to be.
i like a new stock now, COCO. its been getting crushed for the past 6 months. but i remember the CEO of the company when he ran Boston Beer, which i owned and lost money on. he is now buying stock in his present company. on the way down. he did the same with Boston Beer and it flew up once he got done buying it.

OIL
this is probably the right time to put on an oil short. West Texas oil is trading @ $110 today, could go another $10 up, but i would be looking for a minimum downside of $80 now, and much much lower in 2023 once the Republicans take back the house and senate. (i am not trying to be political, but i think that's is what they are going to want to do)

Looks like an automated short might be setting up in about 30-60 minutes based on the big reversal after rejecting the 4470 level hard...I will post it if it happens...

Sorry...no trade...didn't happen...which is unfortunate, because this market looks kinda weak right now...and Powell is schedule to speak at noon according to my significant upcoming market events list (which might be wrong...who knows)...
Anyway...carry on

a sample congressional update
congressman Josh Gottheimer has been loading up (long) on financial institutions, mainly Fidelity (FIS) interestingly enough, he just sold his January 2023Microsoft call options and swapped into September 2022 calls. this guy is a big player, he has traded over 30 different stocks this week and sits on a financial committee.
not as big a player, Marjorie Taylor Greene has been trading away as well. notable trades for her lately are Clorox (CLX) and Caterpillar (CAT). she really doesn't mean that much because i don't think she is on any committees. but she probably has good friends that give her help. .
