Right?
Testify, SRU, testify. Let's see the list. A look at the violation list shows he's probably not a "needle" trainer. Something seems off with this guy unless you view the underlying commodity as a forklift or something - not sentient animals, just functional pieces of equipment. As I've said before - the downside of the sport gets to me.

Does any track still require horses be "put in jail" for a month after a claim?

Why was the rule changed?

Should we go back to it?

Most restrict the claimed horse to remain at the track where the horse was claimed until the end of the meet at that point the horse can run or go anywhere. Some tracks will allow a horse who was claimed at another track during the current meet to run in a stakes race but it is rare that the stewards will allow such a thing. Many tracks like Parx continue with the 30 days in jail from the date of the claim.

Island Sunset

Vet scratch from R2 today at AQU
They must be at their wits end with this poor 8yo gelding.

Laid up for close to a year, he came back on Dec 27th with a lackluster race.
Had been claimed by current connections around a year ago, he has to be
cutting into their margins. Sad.
