"I would NEVER get on a drone - a plane that did not have a live pilot at the controls. The odds just aren't that good of something happening that the "drone pilot" could not resolve. If the drone pilot is considered capable of flying the plane remotely he should be capable of getting in and flying it by hand, and his salary should be comparable to a command pilot. Are the drone pilots going to be flying more than one plane at a time? I don't see this as a valid way to reduce the number of people on the company payroll. I'd like to see how the FAA is going to handle drone pilot certification. Too many questions."

Absolutely take the ride. Aircraft with the latest avionics literally fly themselves and the new gps (ads-b) system neatly tracks all traffic. Flying IS the safest way to travel and eliminating pilot error will make it even safer...

It will also make it boring.
