Turf Sprint Championship - Aqu R8

Nice field of 10 after scratches.

Most interesting to me is that Irad and Paco (the best of friends) will be next to each other in the starting gate after the 2-3 scratched.
We will likely see some race riding - I use the term loosely when applying it to those two.

As of now, I'm going to give the aforementioned Paco a shot on the Anaconda, esp if he is anywhere near his 15-1 ML.
Steps into Stakes company today (where else ya' gonna go after clearing the n3x condition?) and I think he will be heard from on the cutback to 6f.
The scratch of the 2 will take some pace out of the race, but Paco is a hustling rider and should have him fairly close throughout. Stayed very close to repeat winner Big Everest (won the Artie Schiller in his next start) two back through some of the fastest 1/4m & 1/2m splits of the meet, and was still there at the finish. Gets a ground saving trip, shouldn't be too far back when they turn for home, needs to answer the class question in the lane.

Gonna be a good race. Who ya' got?

Very evenly matched field. Think almost every runner has a shot. Not going to try and nit pick this field, and overlook something. Race is a good betting opportunity and the next race looks pretty easy to me.

Going with a $10 double here, and think the bet is worth spending the money.

My pick earlier in the week was the Bad Beat Brian. (who looked like it was going to be in the garden spot behind the who I think will flatten out. The will be in that spot post scratches)

Gear Jockey and Scuttle buzz was my only other (win) considerations. I'm not blind and I can see all the terrible line items this year with Rudy and his horse.

I just can't take 5/2 on Gear Jockey

I'm going to argue horse-for-course and take a $20 to win action floater on Scuttlebuzz knowing I'll get 20/1.

I can easily put a line thorugh the last 2 - yeilding/off turf.
Going a year back under Manny - the rails were at 12 and 36 feet under Castellano.

Then, take a small exacta box with gear jocky and scuttle... prob mash the repeat button with a bit more using my over the

Solid look at the hoop Jay.

I had that 8th race way over thought after my pick scratched. Def not my finest... certainly not my worst.

Nice one - that paid pretty well.

I missed my P3 but hit the exacta for a little bit.
Race unfolded just as I hoped. The winner was just too good.
Got a great price on the #4 at about 17-1.

Yep, you got your price. The price almost got a win bet from me also. Double pd $23.40 for a dollar, thought it was a little light, but take what you can get in this game. Good call on the .
